An exercise to strengthen your back and to refresh your body during hot summer days:
The rainy summer weeks are finally over, and we are more than ready to enjoy the sunny summer weather: Eating outside, enjoying the long summer nights with friends, and having delicious ice cream. This is how summer weekends should look like.
The Pawsture Team loves summer weekends like described above, and we are sure so do you. :-)
Usually, during this time of the year, the gyms are empty because it's so hot inside and after a long time in the office we don't want to spend one more second inside.
So here are some good reasons why we should all go swimming after a hot day at work:
The unexpected Whole-Body Workout
Swimming is not only beneficial when it comes to the training of our lats (latissimus dorsi muscle). It works out our chest, arms, legs, glutes, and core as well.
A low impact heart strengthener
Swimming is an excellent form of cardio training. Compared with cardio exercises like running or jumping rope, swimming is good for people with joint disorders because it is a low to medium-impact activity.
The water supports your weight, and while swimming, there is never a moment when you hit any hard ground, so it`s a form of training that often can also be performed even if you`ve been advised not to jog or run.
Relieve Back Pain
There are numerous causes of back pain where swimming is beneficial. But be careful because, for some causes of back pains, swimming could also sustain the pain. So we always suggest talking to a professional in this field first.
Improve Posture
Swimming can strengthen muscle groups that support the spine and shoulders, which is essential to keep or improve your posture. In addition, when you execute swimming correctly, it helps center the shoulder when it isn't properly aligned anymore.
We love swimming
So the whole Pawsture-Team is convinced that swimming is amazing, mainly because we generally believe that keeping our body moving and caring about our posture is a valuable lifetime investment.
We wish you a fantastic summertime!
